Sold: Conn 8D Elkhart French Horn in Nickle Silver

This is an excellent Conn 8D double french horn from the Elkhart factory.  Made from nickle silver, it produces a lovely full sound and has the ability to be played very strongly without the sound breaking up.

This particular horn was originally bought and played by Tony Halstead.  It has seen quite a bit of playing and has a patch on the bell, which can be seen in the photos.  I bought the horn from Tony Halstead and it has since been fitted with a custom leadpipe from Richard Seraphinoff, which has raised its playing qualities to a new level.

It comes complete with serviceable hard case and the original leadpipe.
